This game is not as bad as many critic reviewers said, sure the first one had a better story (one that can be understood easily) but still this is a good game worth a buy on 50% discount or so.

You're a journalist who goes with his wife to investigate some village where a pregnant woman was tragically killed and of course something happens during your flight forcing you to land crash and thats when hell is unleashed upon you two.

Pretty much everyone in this game wants you dead (dah), these people are form 3 groups:
1) The crazy christians who want you and your wife dead by any means as they believe your wife holds the Anti-christ in her womb.
2) The Heretics who also want you dead (kinda...) but they want to save the baby.
3) The Scalled who believe that you're the new Messiah......and they wanna kill you so that you rise again and lead them to salvation by eating your flesh after you rise from the dead.

With that being said lets look at the pros and cons:

Pros:

+ Great Graphics specially water and i loved how your cloth get soked in blood during that blood rain and you can actually see it drying.
+ Great sound desgin and music was good.
+ Unlike many reviewers said that the movment had issues I found it to be completely smooth and the stealth element in the game was great.
+ Varity of enemies
+ It had its scary moments specially when there was a Heretic who was breathing in my ear for 1 minute without me seeing! that was actually more scary than me seeing him lol.
+ I presonally didn't encounter any bugs or glitches like some claimed and the game preformance was stable never dropped in FPS or anything.

Cons:

- Alot of unexplained things in the story making me wonder if it will ever be explained in a DLC or are they just gonna leave it there especially that ending which just left me raising an eyebrow!
- If there's gonna be a DLC then why does this game cost 30$? I mean the 1st one was longer and it was 20$ only for base game and around 10$ for the DLC.
- Unfortunitly this game is scripted so you can't climb some obsticals even if they were short enough to climb it..

Meh:

~The story has some flows, unanswered questions and some chases were "a bit" fustrating specially that once my game just decided to auto save while i was standing infront of two Heretics and I had to repeat that part like 5 times....

~There's ALOT of flash-backs in this game which became kinda predictable and lame after a while some of them were quite unnecessary. However they reveal how Jessica your childhood friend died and explains the existance some monster who is always chasing you.

~ Some say this game is quite short which is true, however I think it would be boring if it became any longer...

Conclusion:

Overall I found myself enjoying that game regardless of the flows and found myself interested enough to re-read the documents after i finished the game trying to understand the story better.

It's worth a buy especially one sale if you have played and enjoyed the first OutLast (a Horror game where you can only Hide, Run and can't do much to defend yourself) I think the devs deserve some love specially this is a 30$ Indie game not AAA 60$ crap
