Admittedly I don't play many war-strategy games, so with that in mind.. Is this game fun for someone who doesn't have much to compare it with? Yep, very much so! I'd say it's more of a winter game as in the summer you want something lighter. Leave aside the fact that the "window" mode of the game is an ancient borderless-style window that you have to really struggle to move around. The atmosphere is there.. the landscape isn't all that great but the units are well done with detail, the sounds are satisfying and the music gets you in the mood and even your silly Oberkommando with his broken English accent (I actually think he's genuine, too many "wrong" pronounciations in the right words to be a fake-german accent) is part of the immersion and surprisingly enough he has a 0.001% of humor as expected. This is for the single campaign. Well I enjoyed demolishing some Allied forces and even felt sorry for my poor Wehrmacht troops when they got anihilated and I'm supposed to be part of the Allied forces in real life..
