Judgement: Not Recommended

I was drawn to the TBS combat however this reminded me of a cheap mobile port (which it is) when I started it up. The artstyle is a bit of a tossup: The world/battle map is well done but the character models and animations are not up to par, sticking up like a sore thumb.
The RPG choices was really disappointing as you only go up to level 15 but there are a maximum 9 or 10 hero talents that you get to choose out of a total of 22 possibilities :s I also wish there were more troop choices with more skills instead of the very boring melee or ranged shooting choices. There is very limited interactions with the NPCs and troops and even the quests are generic "kill everything" quests. And there is only one background music track!
I must admit that I might be too demanding on Braveland Pirate but for the same price you can buy the King's Bounty: Collector's Pack right now with 4 games that will scratch your TBS itch with better combat, graphics, quests and RPG choices.
