TL;DR 4/10 Arcade 3 lives survive; repeat

Germination revolves around ONE mechanic: multiple Mario-turtle jump kills.
To reward you for your chain of hits before hitting the ground, the score multiplier progresses to 1.1 -> 1.2 -> 1.3...
As you make multiple hits off of falling seeds, you jump higher and movement speed is increased, giving a better feeling of loss of control and quick deaths.
To give a false sense of progression, the game only intoduces its 8 different enemies after the player has accumulated score from game to game.
3 Lives ONLY, 1UPs to replace those.

This is very much like a college project. The teacher inspires the student: "At the end of class, you could have a game that is viable to make money on Steam!" Overall, it is enough to get an "A" for the student but begs the question as to whether it should ever have been released commercially. $1? I say not really.

Full screen and Music On/Off. My generic controller worked. Nevertheless, some cardinal sins:
#1 Cannot change keybindings
#2 No Instructions--none. Only a few minutes was spent creating obtuse descriptions for the 8 enemy plants.
#3 Game does not alert computer that it is engaged. My screensaver engaged in the middle of play.
#4 Inaccessible Achievements: <4% global for ALL. After 1 hour of playing, I was in the top 100 scorers; I could only get the 1 achievement for grinding out 2.5 hours of play to unlock all enemies
#5 What is my final score at the end of the game? Who knows?--erased. Leaderboard will only show your highest score.

4/10 Play once to try, never play again. Grade "A" student project
