Absolutely fantastic game. Within the first ten minutes of playing I was already smiling and feeling a similar sense of wonder and excitement to when I first played Mario 64. Yes, it feels heavily inspired by that legendary game, and thankfully the devs have done a wonderful job of creating a 3D platformer with tight controls, fun gameplay, awesome music and clever, funny writing. I can't recommend this enough.

If there's any small holes to pick, it's that on one or two occasions I've wanted to move the camera around to see my surroundings more, but wasn't able to do at that time. But it's rare, and it doesn't detract from the overall enjoyment of the game.

This gets my vote for GAME OF THE YEAR
