I should start by saying I'm a sucker for pinball machines so I'll take joy in just about anything that gives me that pinball feeling. As it stands, it's pretty much what this game does.
It's not perfect by any definition and the physics are flawed (speeding ball, awkward bouncing angles etc) but it's good fun to play for a while. The tables are not varied, as they all have similar designs but you'll find one or two you'll spend a couple of hours on.
I wouldn't recommend it at full price but if you can get it on sale and you are a pinball addict, go for it.
