The Deed is a reverse mystery game. You play as Arran Bruce who must murder his sister and get away with it. This game has such a unique premise, you must pick an item and a weapon and frame one of the family members.
The game excels at it's storytelling. I was shocked at all the nuanced detail that the inspector was able to get clues from.
I've got two minor problems with the gameplay, when you're presented with dialogue choices, it's very easy to accidentally make a choice because you were clicking too fast, (very common VN problem) the choices display as normal conversation so you need to click slowly, which goes against replayability. This could easily be fixed by moving the dialogue choices away from normal conversations or preventing a user from choosing anything for 1 or 2 seconds.
The other problem is while you can pick up two items, you can't plant two seperate items and leaving an item on your body is bait for the detective,. This takes me out of an otherwise enthralling experience, because as a player I didn't forget, rather the system is forcing me to keep the item.
The game is short, but that actually works in favor for it because of it's high replayability, after each play through you wanna go back at it trying to frame the next person.
