There's another, much better version of the game... It's called "Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion"... and I would honestly recommend you to get that instead.

Don't get me wrong - I love the gameplay, the setting, and basically, the SoaSE game franchise but this game didn't age well at all. I had trouble finding a way to reduce the enemy's difficulty (I'm good at 4x strategy games but not THAT good, ya know wut I mean?) - a feature that's available in Rebellion but apparently not in Trinity. With Rebellion, you'll also have access to all the previous versions of the game, plus the Rebellion "DLC" which includes massive Titan spaceships.

So, yeah, if you have to choose, be sure to get the sequel instead. You'll be glad that you'll have a lot more options available for you to customize your games.
