It feels like Civilization or Sorcerer King lite with only one victory condition, important siting of HQ site, limited land claims, intensive juggling of resource inputs and outputs, and black markets tools for economic attack and defense. Still I miss the combat elements and multiple victory conditions of Civilization so I wouldn't recommend it to hardcore RTS, TBS/4X or grand strategy players. The games tend to be short (20-40 mins) with a slow initial start and a nail-biting finish. Honestly, however I still miss the combat elements :(
