To put it "simply" into a single and rather long sentence, Blood Harvest 3 is a rather hardcore platform game where you'll get to survive waves of endlessly respawning variety of enemies, be it zombies or jumping spiders or slimes, by shooting and stabbing them all to death in the attempt to fill up the progress bar at the bottom (can be grindy), activate the teleporter, and move on to the next level.
In this game, you'll start the game with two weapons - a handgun (has limited ammo) and a spear, but I think you'll eventually be able to unlock new weapons in order to fight against the increasingly tougher-to-kill enemies. Not sure how that'll come about though because I can't seem to spend the money I've earned slaying enemies to buy them from the Extras menu, which I'm assuming is the in-game store. You can supposedly buy consumables there too.
Gameplay-wise, I think the game is pretty "okay" but I do have a bone to pick with the game - I find that it's impossible to jump over enemies in hopes of escaping them (so you don't get hemmed in) without taking damage. Due to this, you might want to avoid trapping yourself at the corner of a map.
As difficult as the game may be, it doesn't throw you to the dogs without giving you a bone. There are chests scattered throughout the small map that usually contain something useful, whether it's extra health or more ammo. Be sure to make full use of them!
The retro graphics here are pretty alright and I do notice that the night cycle in this game is, thankfully, short. The rock music which played in the background as you play is pretty okay as well, but if you plan on sinking hours into this game, you might want to mute it and put on something you'd like.
Overall, I'd say Blood Harvest 3 isn't exactly everyone's cup of tea even if you generally enjoy playing arcade shooters and platformers. Its graphics and hardcore-ness alone can make many a player shy away from the game, but the game can offer a fun few hours if you do enjoy playing tough (and sometimes frustrating) games and don't mind a bit of a grind.
Personally, I wouldn't recommend spending money on buying the game but if you get it as a part of a bundle (which contains something else that you'd like) or if you won it in a giveaway, then why not give the game a try. It might be able to pump up your adrenaline a little bit, and then, there's some OK-sounding rock music to listen to as well.
I'd also recommend starting with Normal mode first just so you'd get a feel for the game before deciding to go all "Hardcore" on it. The game can be pretty tough even on Normal.

Game Tips
For those struggling to get your character to open chests (the "E" doesn't pop up for chests), a quick tip here - make sure your mouse cursor is hovering over the chest so that the "E" will pop up. Only when you see the "E" above it, will you be able to open the chest.I'd also recommend starting with Normal mode first just so you'd get a feel for the game before deciding to go all "Hardcore" on it.
