I am less harsh on this updated review.

UI and windows are a bit clunky making the steep learning curve harder. In the Learning Scenario, theres no "Quest" history, so if you dont write it down and forget, no more progress.
Be prepared to learn things the hard way and google often.


If you want a steel gauntlet to the face and spend a minimum of 2 hours at a time to learn the game. It might be for you. Not sure if it is for me. At 12 hours in, I was still on the learning campaign. Feels like I cramming for a college exam and never showed up to class. That lost feeling.

Achievements. After 24 hours, I've finally gotten 2. You have to Enable Ironman mode. Interestingly on the steam achievement page, only 15.3% of the players have gotten "The Marriage Game" achievement. You would have to try really hard not to get that achievement as this game is about dynasties (marriages). That 15.3% I think is an indicator of the steepness of the learning curve. Everyone else gave up.

To those that are reading this. You must have some interest. Currently I feel theres a solid gem here or I would have quit. If you like games that require a minimum of 2 hours of your time in one sitting and have an unknown depth. Lets figure this out.
