If you liked the original Metroid for Nintendo, you'll love this. I only had to look up a guide once for the secret room, but other than that everything else is super intuitive. One thing, I wish didn't do was shoot down the nurse bots. They are there to heal you! >_< Took me 3 hours in to realize this. I kept thinking the only way to heal myself was to kill enemies for experience until you recover a bar. I think that's a really neat concept healing by defeating enemies like a vampire (of course they didn't use that term). You can probably imagine I panicked every time I took damage since it took so many kills to heal all the way up. I would save at every single room, which is great, too. Being able to save anywhere you like gives you the player the control to up the difficulty or not. Take some damage reload. I bound my reload button to my left controller shoulder button, which was perfect for me.
I beat the game in 5-6 hours and enjoyed the pixel art, old and modern game play features.
Gameplay
+Save anywhere
+Heal up by destroying enemies
+Custom maps
Story
+/-A little dialogue. If you just want to get right into the game you're in it quick
Very much recommended ^_^
