This is a nice adventure game. The story is somewhat interesting, the dialogues have depth and give the characters some gravity, there are some funny lines and references, graphics-atmosphere is cute and it's good value for money..
You will probably enjoy this if you like this sort of game, but there's one "combined" reason why it gets a thumbs down: The gameplay system is making it a small torture! If you accidentally click a person or a dialogue option or a place where there will be some kind of response, be that a dialogue or some action in the place, there's
NO way to skip/cancel it (there's some fast-forward if you keep "action" pressed but that's not enough). You just have to endure the repeated dialogue/actions which shows no respect for the player's time. This is something very high on my list of reasons to give a thumbs down, mostly to alarm people for what to expect (and maybe for devs to fix it). Similarly if a scene is starting (and you need to click to advance of course) there's no way to skip it or even pause to save and replay at another time. Same for scene transitions (that "Shisa" is moving slower than a turtle! ).. Even when switching between locations there's a considerable delay which, given the simplicity of the graphics, isn't justified.
To recap: The game is fun! I'd recommend it but the way the gameplay is programmed, I'm going to paint it red for visibility of the issues. Blame Steam for that, no neutrality..
Don't waste more time reading lengthy reviews.. time is of the essence!
