Figured this one would be a once-and-done cheap laugh, but it turns out Internet Cafe Simulator's actually quite good. There's piles of different equipment you can kit out your cafe with, from ancient arcade machines up to high end gaming PCs and even a personal chef if you're into waiting tables. Lots of funky characters to deal with too, from hackers and weird cryptocoin front men to crazy homeless guys and the odd thief that'll sometimes be brazen enough to lift some stuff despite the security guard you can hire.
You can go bankrupt if you're not careful, but the most problematic things in ICS are unfortunately the odd bugs. Items sometimes fall through the ground when placed (thieves oddly enough can recover these, but you cannot), loading up your save will occasionally see items gone for good or duplicated (handy early-game as you can sell them), and AI pathfinding can mean customers becoming trapped in the cafe until you remove any nearby items so they can leave. None of these are hugely big issues, but most could and should have been patched - instead the developer moved on to another project and left ICS to die. This kind of leaves Internet Cafe Simulator with that unsettling "bundle fodder" vibe despite it being a decent game.
You achievement hunters out there will be happy to note all achievements in ICS work, although the one for saving up $100k unlocked when I had a bit over $62k instead so it might be a lil bit buggy. I stayed within the main starting area and only expanded the cafe to unlock the Builder and Joy Joystick achievements, so the game can be completed in under 6 hours if you wish. If you're playing this to fully kit out the cafe with all available items, a completion of around 15 hours would be more likely.
Easy recommend if it's on sale or as a bundle leftover, just expect some jank and the rare bit of lost progress. Bonus points for being able to hit people over the head with hot dogs and hamburgers. Gotta make those cheapskate surf and dashers pay somehow, right? lol
