This game is very interesting at start as you got only the basic hero of each type and while playing you collect gold to buy new heroes and test them. It is a fun idea as it gives you 24 different heroes with different attack and skill and passive and you can play them all and test which ones you like the best as later you need to focus on one from each type and grind gold to upgrade them if you want to have any chance to finish the game or even 100% it. You also find items that gives you bonus stats and sometimes skills that activate when you attack or kill enemy.
I like that because of 24 heroes everyone will find some that will suits their playstyle and you can test them all before upgrading anyone to see if you like their skills and damage they do. I think this is one of the games that is easy to get into but it is hard to master and beat it as I see that only 2,5% of people playing it were able to beat the game.
The game gets repetitive and grinding is starting to get boring after some time. Also there are times when there are so many thing happening on the screen you don’t even know where you are and what is happening and that is bad for a bullet hell because you can’t dodge bullets if you don’t see them or your hero because there is too much things at once on the screen. Also I didn’t like some things like moss on the ceiling that makes enemy bullets and hp invisible so sometimes you don’t know when to move to dodge. There is also one broken thing and that is invisible enemies and most of the time the huge ones as everything in the game is randomized and sometimes enemies can be spawn outside of the edges of the level and they need to cross a special invisible line to become visible but if you are fighting close to the edge of the level these enemies can spawn on you and kill you in 2 seconds. Sometime you also start new level on a trap or between 2 big mini-bosses. The game lets you find and rescue NPCs that help you fight but they are more like a mechanic used to make them take the enemy bullets instead of you as with everything that happens on the screen at the same time it is hard to dodge most things.
After you kill the boss on each level you have an option to get +15% HP or +15% mana but that is like a lack of choice as you can get mana and mana regeneration from items but there are no items giving HP or HP regeneration so you will always choose to increase your HP after each boss to have any chance to survive.
The game is insanely hard and when I did start I was able to get to level 3 and after 14 hours of playing it I can only get to level 4 and there are 10 levels so I think you need 100+ hours to grind enough gold to upgrade your favorite hero to be able to beat the game and much more to be able to beat the game 4 times to 100% it or have insanely great luck with items that you find.
It is an ok roguelike mixed with bullet hell. It is a good game for some hours of fun and a masochistic game for people that want to 100% it.
Overall score 6/10
