It's fun, but can be frustrating. I've never had an exploding barrel or canister help me. I've only ever shot at it for the sometimes loot or hit it on accident while I was within a mile of it and got caught in the explosion taking damage. If you have a hit and run play style, or like to backpedal and lure enemies, the majority of the time you will not make it up to the health drop that disappears within a few seconds of killing the elites.
I like it for when I'm not up to a full Hades run. Soundtrack is great, as well. I would grab it on a sale. I can't justify saying to buy at full price. It just does not feel like there is enough content. But I am heavily biased. This is like a side-chick of a roguelike. Good music, good aesthetic, robots go beep boop and you can shoot nukes.
