I like that this game starts out cute and the more you play the more darker it gets. It is a good RPG game with interesting ideas. To learn new spells you have to craft spell scrolls from items dropped by monsters. Instead of buying armor to wear you buy furniture that you put in your house and that gives you stat bonuses for the whole party. Only the main heroine can buy items for her and they change element of her main attack and resistance. Both items for main heroine and furniture for house can be bought only with special points we find while adventuring. Each hero can wear one accessory that gives some stat bonuses or resistances.
Side quests in the game are nice and make sense in the setting that you are in. I also like that each area is different just like dreams and have different enemies and boss. The idea that each enemy is connected to one element makes it that we have to think what element we will use against what enemy. I like the idea that enemies are visible on the map so you can choose to fight them or evade them. Also the game can be played with a keyboard only or mouse only or both. I like that the new game plus has some developer notes that explain the game and ideas a bit more.
I found a few bugs while playing like sometimes the music during combat stops and now there is no music in game and you have to save and restart the game to get the music to play again. Also in Russian Forest: South-East there is a place where we meet an enemy and that makes a coin that represents special points to pop up in grass and after you win the fight you can save the game and try to get the coin moving from top to bottom and that makes it bug out and count as many many coins as long as you are holding S on the keyboard.
I think some puzzles are just too hard and without looking in the Internet for answers I don’t think I would be able to finish them. It looks like they were created to just sell the game official guide. New game plus also has a strange bug as it remembers the bonuses you had in your house from furniture but all furniture disappears and you can’t put it back as it shows as 0/1 in your inventory and I think game thinks that you are using that furniture but I think my bonuses from finishing the game first time were not working in new game plus.
The thing that I hate is that ending is a plot twist that will be explained In the next game. So in the end I can’t be sure what happened in the end of the game and if I want to know the meaning of ending I will be forced to wait and buy the next game from the developer. Each game should be it’s own story and the ending should be an ending not a plot twist without explanation.
Definitely not a kids game despite its cute appearance. There are pretty dark themes in this game that are suitable for 18+ only!
Overall score 6,5/10
