Borderline recommend. This is an amazing game if you're after how No Man's Sky used to be, a pure journey simulator without all the silly crafting grind Hello Games added later. Unfortunately Unexplored 2 still has lots of weird issues which will make you want to quit every couple hours. You'll come for the gameplay but end up staying (for a few hours, anyway) for the soundtrack instead.
Fighting enemies gets you nowhere, you're better off running away as loot drops are an extreme rarity. Unfortunately encounters often entail chatting before fleeing or fighting, and if you negotiate your way out of an attack many enemies will still attack you anyways. Beats me why but this gets old real fast. Healers which are supposed to aid you tend to say you're fine when you're 1 or 2 HP away from death as well, not too cool. When everything works right though? It's fun making a near death escape and legging it back to somewhere "safe", only to be woken up late in the night by the guys who've been tracking you for days and unfortunately spotted your campfire.
Reading much of the above makes me wonder why I'm recommending this lol. Honestly though with the regular updates the developers have been pushing I feel confident assuming this will end up being a quality game at some point. It's just got tons of teething issues right now.
