Have you wondered how the monsters feel when you play Slay the Spire? Are they just blockages you defeat to level up and gain some gold for upgrading? Well, these monsters have feelings.
Instead of playing as a hero, you play as monsters and the boss to defend loot. I quite enjoy how they approached and combined the Dungeon Management and Roguelite genres.
Like other Rougelite games, heroes are more powerful than monsters, which means your monsters or even mini-boss will die quickly. But if you carefully plan your play style, use proper traps, master spells, debuffs, and buffs. These heroes won’t typically pass the second monster dungeons.
The game has very nice game mechanics. You can defeat heroes in two ways: by killing them or scaring them off. Depending on the story you choose, you need to adjust your strategy.
Overall, this is a nice Rougelite and strategy game!
