In-Depth Review

Visuals
Wayout was displayed in simplistic visuals. Level selection is made in a way that resembles the main game with several tiles with different heights based on your progress. That being said, it's still easy to navigate and understand how they work even for first-timers.

The Game
Gameplay
Just like other simplistic puzzle games out there, Wayout doesn't try to explain its mechanics with text. You are supposed to learn how it works by completing the first few easy levels. Several tiles will be displayed in a certain format on each level, and you are supposed to turn all tiles to white. Flipping one tile will turn that tile and its adjacent ones into a different color (white to red, red to white), forcing you to flip it in the correct position, and sometimes, order.

Different mechanics will be offered in every 20 levels. The basic gameplay will still be the same, although the new mechanic will slightly change it. However, I had issues in understanding the third mechanic - it can be hard to fathom how the flipping works unless you think it out properly.

Length and Difficulty
I finished the game, including all of the bonus levels in 4.7h. Achievement hunters don't need to perfect all levels to get 100%, although there are some guides available if you want to aim for it. That being said, the game can be challenging at some point; I even have to resort to using the guide sometimes, both for perfecting all levels and finishing some levels that I was stuck on. I couldn't seem to find the right formula to finish all levels without brute-forcing it, so that's what I did to finish the levels, especially those that I got stuck on.

That being said, I still had fun finishing the game. The new mechanics help to make the game not repetitive, and it helps to refresh your mind from the more difficult levels since it will always start with the easy ones to let you know how it works. It will take a while before it starts ramping up the difficulty, which will always happen at the end of the sections.

Conclusion
Wayout manages to provide challenging puzzles from its simple mechanics, providing its players with numerous levels with varying difficulty. It's perfect for those who want to use their wits without having to spend too much time. Each level can be finished in several minutes, and it won't take long before you finish everything.
