First impression:
cute, nice graphics, slow-pace story, almost enjoyable but...
I have lag every time dialogue box appear. The text is slowly and harshly showing. I also notice my cursor is lagging while the box appear.
After digging on the discussion, it seems that I need to use alternative build. I'll update later.
Update for almost 2 hours:
The alternative build is pretty much the solution. No further lag appear.
Full review:
Finding Paradise is a wholesome life journey. We observe a life journey in a man's memory as third party, the doctors. The journey is fully supported by sound effects that bring you virtually inside the event. Some instrumental are also integrated with the story. In addition to the journey, which may bring you vulnerable, there are also comic aspects which I enjoyed.
The mechanics are mostly find items and solve a match 3 puzzle in a series of events. The items can be found by exploring the events. The match 3 puzzle is also easy to solve. The mechanics are not too challenging for enjoying the journey.
I found a lot of unexpected experience. Definitely not flat, but I'm not going to spoil other than that.
The only disappointment is the lag in the original version. The alternative build is a solid solution for my whole game experience. The only downside is that you cannot finish the achievement. Though, the achievement can be obtained by change to the original and load the last auto-save. It took me around 20 minutes.
A life journey. Comic balanced. Great soundtrack. Puzzle. Unexpected experience.
