This was a wild ride! Full of action, full of constant dialogs about everything that goes around, full of great characters, full of emotions… full of fun!!!

The graphics are gorgeous and you often just stop to admire the surroundings. Even though the path before you is linear you can search around and find collectibles or completely different path toward your goal. The fights are hectic, crazy and you can lose your head easily, but they are also great fun and fill you with a lot of adrenaline. You are pretty safe on your travels thanks to frequent checkpoints. Falling over the edge won't kill you, just immediately respawn on the spot - even during a battle! The soundtrack is excellent and when the songs from the '80s start you wish for the fights to never end. :D Happy to hear some of my favorites on the tape. <3

All of the characters are greatly written and I loved the chemistry between the Guardians. I am familiar only with the movies but I quite liked their in-game portrayal (they say it’s closer to the comics). I find this Drax far better than in the movies actually (loved his war choral and the fact that he then sang it at every opportunity he got, priceless). The voice actors do a perfect job and bring all of the characters to life. It's a joy to listen to their bickering. xD

The atmosphere changes rapidly with the story progression. In one moment it can be funny, relaxed, friendly and in the next moment, it becomes serious, heavy, dark… you name it. The pace of the game is quick, so are these changes and you are kept in a sweet tension of what’s coming next. Some moments were rather emotional.

The game isn't perfect of course.

▶ I stumbled upon a few bugs - I got stuck and had to reload a checkpoint (which was rare, you usually get respawned), my crew disappeared although the talks continued (had to reload), and it crashed on me once (I think it was caused by my especially frantic clicking during a heated battle).
▶ The fights are very hectic and one can become lost in what is the goal. Also, sometimes you can activate the Huddle ('80s songs) just before the fight ends thus not enjoying the music enough.
▶ The talks can be interrupted in the middle by anything you do and you can't pretty much prevent it - you stop to listen, maybe it would be a good idea to survey the surroundings with your visor, bump!, they start commenting on that… it can be anything. Not really a problem, I just don't like it when it works this way (my OCD kicking in).
▶ When you read in your journal there is no music, just silence - in my opinion the biggest oversight when we consider the excellent soundtrack we have at our disposal.
▶ The game is linear so we can't visit or re-visit points of interest on our own.
▶ Sometimes I got a little lost in the lore.

But all of this is unimportant in the light of great characters, captivating story, beautiful visuals, and legendary music! You don't need to be a fan of the Guardian of the Galaxy franchise to enjoy the game (but if you already are you will enjoy it even more for sure), so I can safely recommend it to everyone! Just beware that they really don't shut their mouths. xD

I wouldn't mind getting on another adventure with these rascals. <3
