Judgement: Not Recommended

what could have been a decent turn based tactics game is ruined by retaining quite a few aspects of being a mobile game with a strong focus on microtransactions. While the microtransactions has indeed been removed from the steam port the game has not been rebalanced properly to take this into account, forcing the player to grind the same missions to accumulate vital ingame currency necessary to gain new cards.
This could be forgiven if only the combat system had held up to scrutiny, but with a very rudimentary ai and tactics depending more on which cards get randomly available each turn than tactical decisions the combat gets boring quite fast.
A few relatively simple modifications could make a lot of difference here. Like a rudimentary cover system for example, a better ai, or anything that would allow the player to utilize the terrain (even something as simple as a bonus for attacking from the flank or rear)
overall i had fun playing this game for about the first hour or so, thus i cant recommend it unless youre quite into the warhammer universe and can overlook its simplicity
