It's a cute little adventure game but with quite a bit of..depth! Just about everything is charming in this game even when you flog that one sailor for blowing up the lantern! Fishing is fun (need lots of spears, it's practically the main action of the game), attacking ships, trading, reaching Ithaka!..I mean Nassau!
If the graphics of the screens grabbed you, then it's probably for you. A minor annoyance is that the main music loop is short and gets repetitive pretty soon because the journey is looong. Also there are luck elements that you cannot ignore and can make or break your journey, namely finding a flag of the "proper" nation of the next ship you encounter if you chose to sail a low-end ship.
Good fun in short bursts and you may come back to it to play it on a different ship, different captain.. The tag "Casual" is correct, don't take it too seriously..
